Because our services are provided at no cost to the heroes we serve, Carrying Heroes relies entirely on the generosity of private donors, local businesses, and community grants. Your support makes it possible to rescue horses, provide for their daily care, and offer a safe place where veterans, first responders, and their families can find peace, hope, and healing.
Together, we can save horses, restore hope, and change lives—one hero and two horses at a time.
Rescue & Emergency funds
Often, the horses we rescue must be purchased in order to get them to safety. There are usually transportation costs, veterinary costs, and extra feed and care requirements. We fundraise separately and specifically for these situations so that general donations are only used for our general day-to-day operations. The same is true for emergency veterinary needs like surgery – we fundraise separately and specifically for these situations. If you ever want to make a donation towards our Rescue Fund or Emergency Fund, simply let us know when you make the donation. There are thousands of horses like these, and we can give them a chance when people choose to give..
become a monthly supporter
To become a monthly supporter, simply click "donation form" below then select "monthly donation" on the donation form. (You may use the same form for one-time donations.) Those who give $25 a month or more, or make a one-time donation of $250 or more, will be invited to our "Donor Days" at the ranch. Donor Days are the only time non-participants are able to tour the ranch and meet the horses. Email us for more info!
